Developers Forum
In anticipation of the economic recovery and while development is not so hectic,
the City is working with developers to evaluate the City's development review
process and to determine what information or services will assist developers. To
this end, the City is holding forums to meet with the developers on April 21 & 22,
2010. We are also surveying developers to get their input.
Attached are the charge statement, invitation letters and the survey. We are also
developing a page on the City's web site where information, survey results and
presentation materials will be made available:

We are providing this as an informational item for Commissioners. However, if
you have any recommendations or suggestions for staff, please contact me at

Charge Statement
To meet commercial/office/industrial and residential developers;
present an update on City development and demographics, provide
them with marketing information on the city, discuss the review
process and listen to concerns that they may have with
development issues.
Educate developers about the city and provide any information
that we have that may assist them. Learn from developers if
there are any concerns, issues or impediments that the city can
resolve.
The Planning Staff will be the contact and facilitator for the two
meetings. Staff will identify the participants in the two groups.
A survey prior to the meeting will be sent to understand any
concerns that should be addressed. Results of the meeting will be
presented to the City Council.
Breakfast Meetings
April 21st and April 22nd
City Staff will be providing the information.
The power point presentation will be held in the Fountain
Conference and a hand out of all material will be made available.

a forum to meet with commercial/officelindustrial and residential developers.
The intent of this meeting is to provide information on City development and
demographics, and to discuss and review the development process. Additionally,

about development in Chanhassen.

Fountain Conference Room in the lower level of Chanhassen City Hall located at
