TH 101 /Pleasant View Rd Intersection & Trail Improvements - $95,000
The city has applied for state funds to make improvements to the intersection of
TH 101 and Pleasant View Road. These improvements include turn lanes,
shoulder, drainage and trail improvements. The project would widen the
intersection so left turn lanes can be constructed and curb and gutter on TH 101
would be constructed where necessary. A 10 -ft. wide bituminous trail would be
constructed on the west side of TH 101 from Pleasant View Road to Town Line
Drive. A trail would also be constructed on the north side of Pleasant View
Road to connect to an existing trail crossing. This project will improve safety,
access, and mobility in the project area.
UPCOMING PROJECTS NOT CURRENTLY IN CIP
Reflections at Lake Riley Park Acquisition - $200,000
Acquisition of a 4.8 acre parcel of land for a neighborhood park to be located in
the Reflections at Lake Riley subdivision. Concurrent with the final plat,
Lennar Homes will transfer ownership of the park site through a combination of
parkland dedication and fee purchase to the city.
The current park fund balance is $2,744,000. It is anticipated that between
$100,000 and $200,000 in new park dedication dollars will be generated in
2011. The eight projects being financed from this fund in 2011 total
$1,290,000.
I will be happy to answer any questions that commissioners have concerning the
3011 Park and Trail CIP.
