2006 05 19 SENIOR COMMISSION MINUTES
• REGULAR MEETING
May 19, 2006
Chairman Robinson called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Curt Robinson, Marilyn Luthy, Mel Kurvers, Jean Mancini,
Barbara Nevin, Virginia Prior.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Pat McGough.
STAFF PRESENT: Sharmeen Al - Jaff.
VISITORS: Maureen Melgaard- Schneider.
Approval of agenda: Commissioner Mancini moved, Commissioner Kurvers seconded
the motion to approve the agenda. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
Approval of Minutes dated April 21, 2006: Commissioner Mancini moved,
Commissioner Kurvers seconded the motion to approve the minutes. All voted in favor
and the motion carried.
Goals and Objectives for 2006 and Joint Meeting with the City Council: Staff will
invite Maureen Melgaard- Schneider, Consultant with Carver County Health Partnership
Senior Commission to development a 2006 Work Plan.
Veteran's Memorial for Chanhassen: The commission were presented with several
options. They recommended the semi - circle option.
Adjournment: Commissioner Kurvers moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner
Nevin seconded the motion. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
