It is recommended that the group meet twice in the months of September and October to complete their charge. The following twenty-one residents are recommended for membership in the focus group. After which I would let the focus group complete their work, being available to answer questions throughout both sessions. A great place to live, work, and play. Charge Statement Community Center Focus Group Goal What is the purpose of the group? To identify for the City Council the preferred components and organizational structure of these components for a proposed Chanhassen Community Center. Results Desired Product expected from the group. $cop¢ of Responsibility & Level of Authority Who does the group report to? Tim¢lin~ When is the project due? Next meeting dote. A written recommendation to the City Council. This recommendation shall acknowledge that the preferred model for the Center is o public/private partnership consisting of 2 or more parties. The group's scope of responsibility is limited to the goal identified above. The group shall report to the City Council through the office of the Park and Recreation Director. A written recommendation shall be forwarded to the Park and Recreation Director prior to October 23, 2002 for submission to the City Council on October 28, 2002. Resources Available What other expertise is available & who ore those resources? The group must rely on the internal knowledge and expertise of its members. Communication What strategies will be used to communicate? The group shall appoint one of its members os facilitator and one member os recorder and spokesperson. The spokesperson shall submit the groups written recommendation to the Park and Recreation Director. Expectations for Membership Names and numbers of those present, member's responsibilities. The group shell consist of 21 residents representing o cross section of interests, ages, gender and geographic location of residence. A minimum attendance of 18 members per meeting shall be met.
