The City recently supported the application by pledging a $400,000 matching contribution. However, project engineering and increased project costs have resulted in the City share of the budget to be re- estimated at $633,000. Justification I A pedestrian underpass to Minnewashta Regional Park is a highly sought after improvement. This funding allocation is the City's match for a transportation enhancement grant. Justification I The Highway 212 improvement project included a pedestrian trail along the first 2,000 feet of Bluff Creek Drive. The resulting trail "gap" represents a missing Link in the City's trail system. Bluff Creek Drive is a difficult stretch of road to negotiate as a pedestrian in the absence of a trail.
