at Chanhassen High School. Approximately 200 dancers participated and 868

• After School Sports (ages 7 -10): Fourteen youth participated in the
Basketball program this spring and 20 participated in Flag Football.
Tennis Lessons had 18 participants between the 2 sessions. This
program will become an after - school program in the fall.
Rec Center Sports will be hosting an Appreciation Night on June 26 from 6:30-
8 pm to celebrate our programs, volunteers, and promote upcoming activities.
There will be food, games, a bouncer, and prize drawings.
CAPITAL EQUIPMENT
The City's five -year capital investment plan to update the Rec Center's Fitness
Center is now complete. In 2012, we replaced two pieces of original strength
equipment and three pieces of cardio equipment. There is now a Life Fitness
Multi - Press, two Life Fitness Elliptical Trainers and a Life Fitness Stepper.
PICKLEBALL
With great assistance from the Park Maintenance crew, the Rec Center now has
3 lighted outdoor pickleball courts. Pickleball equipment is available to check
out from the Rec Center front desk. There is no fee for the outdoor play and
our player group is growing.
