that has gone on to date with the project. Commissioner Stolar asked to see a copy of the flyers
the neighborhood group is handing out asking for donations to the project. There was no action
taken on this item.
2003 FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION EVALUATION.
Jerry Ruegemer provided information on the Fourth of July celebration and asked for
commissioner's comments and suggestions. Commissioner Spizale stated he had two people
seeking first aid and was unable to find a place to send them, other than finding a policeman.
Commissioner Robinson asked if the fireworks display went along with music. Todd Hoffman
stated that might be something to think about for the 25th anniversary, but the problem was
getting a relationship built with a radio station. Commissioner O'Shea stated one thing she heard
was that perhaps the children's fishing contest ran a little long. 45 minutes might be a better time
period. And because of the long wait at Water Wars, maybe think about adding another one next
year because of it's popularity. Vice Chair Kelly asked if next year the softball field lights at
Lake Ann could be left on as people were leaving the fireworks. Commissioner Stolar suggested
if a second Water Wars can't be added, to providing only one bucket per team instead of two, to
help move it along.
