All of our seasonal help have returned to high school or college, leaving us with just the seasonal seniors to keep parks mowed and clean. With the lack of rain this fidl theirjob has been made easier. All swimming beaches have been shut down with all buoys & ]'opes being removed. The second mowing of all trails has been completed along with out' 3''d fertilizer application to all athletic field areas. This summer the City hosted a state regional softball tournament at Lake Ann. A lot of work went into field preparation for this event. It was a long weekend and a lot of work, but a many nice compliments came from several of the participating teams in the tournament. Park Maintenance marked and stripped 15 soccer fields and 2 football fields for the fall league. We were also able to pull 3 soccer fields out of use for reseeding and maintenance work on these fields. The three are at Lake Ann, Bandimere #1 and City Center. We have had a considerable amount of trouble with the electric wMng at Lake Ann Concession Building in the past few years. Most of the outlets and several lights were not working in the upstairs portion of the building. We worked with an electrician to rewire the upstairs and all security lights as well and the lights around the outside of the building. During the first week of September, our park maintenance staff worked on installing another phase of play equipment to the Stone Creek Park Playground.
