We use this facility for business meetings. The tables are often dirty from previous groups. Pizza, craft glitter or glue, etc. Not a great impression! Our oven did not work well. It took a long time to make a pizza. I was disappointed because we were scheduled to begin at a certain time and the gym was still being used by basketball. The facilities were not cleared out for almost 20 minutes and that delayed our party. I had 12 kindergartners that had to wait to start the party and then we ran long and parents had to wait to pick up their kids. Need the ability to initiate a toll-free call from the phone Wireless would be great! Did not have the room reserved and did not know the room was switched until the evening of the event. This was a annual homeowners meeting and the governing documents are very specific about the notification of the meeting to the homeowners. 1 They must be given 21 days notice of the exact location of the meeting. If anyone wanted to count the meeting as invalid they could have done so. Everything is always set up as requested. Staff is willing to help with last minute changes. Space was ideal for our seminar. The movable walls are not very sound proof and we often hear the noise that is going on next door to our rental room, otherwise facilities are great. Lighting in the parking lot was very poorly. Hard to see on sidewalk. It worked out great for a kid party. Everyone very helpful, but the building was so noisy that it interfered with our class. It would have been nice/helpful if there was less "extra" stuff in the room - chairs, tables. 2. Please evaluate the Recreation Center staff assistance. I was not happy. Always so friendly and helpful Staff is always extremely helpful. 2 Staff did everything possible to set up the room as we needed, complete with projector, screen extension cords and as many tables as we needed. 1 wish 1 could recall the names of the staff members who helped with the reservation as well as during the event. They were both AWESOME! Chuck is the BEST! There is only general politeness, they do not go out of their way and are not overly polite to the function attendees. 3. Please rate our fees. Please insert below or call the Rec Center Manager at 952-227-1401. The only two complaints I have are the condition of the tables and the noise level of the gym. Fabulous for Courage Retreat with MMW for years! Great place and staff My only issue was that the times were too close together between groups. My group had to wait almost 1/2 hour to get into room because by the time the event staff man cleaned the room, got the prior people out, it put us behind which then our guests 3 arrived as we were putting our food out and getting set up for our party. So, maybe space the rental out by 15-20 minutes. Otherwise it was excellent. Thank you! As previously mentioned, the lighting in the parking lot is very dim. Hard to see, kids tripped and fell on the sidewalk We rented the facility for a Westwood church small group of ten 12-13 year olds to play basketball. I am one of about 20 small group leaders and I have recommended your facility to them all whenever they are looking for ideas. If you would like additional contacts to market at Westwood, please let me know. joeroslansky©gmail.com The only thing I can say is it would be helpful to be able to get in the room to decorate early. Again, the noise level. 1 would not recommend the space for our type of classroom class, due to that. Again, Chuck is great. 4
