Re: Request for Proposals for Preparation of Site Plan Concepts for Playground
Structure and Picnic Shelter at Riley Ridge Park
Dear «Title» «Last Name» :
The City of Chanhassen 2013 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes the
installation of a playground and picnic shelter at Riley Ridge Park. The park is
located in a newly developing neighborhood in Chanhassen named Reflections at
Lake Riley being built by Lennar. Your firm is invited to submit a proposed
playground design and a picnic shelter design for installation at this new park.
The objective of this RFP is to permit the selection of one design and approved
equipment manufacturer(s). Your proposal will be reviewed by a neighborhood
committee who will select and recommend a preferred design and manufacturer(s)
for the site. The Reflections at Lake Riley neighborhood has elected to perform the
playground installation under the guidance of a manufacturer's representative and
with city support. The picnic shelter will be installed by the City of Chanhassen.
The playground portion of this RFP is for equipment and installation support only.
The playground container and safety surfacing are not to be included in this
proposal. Your playground proposal must include the cost of equipment, tax,
freight and delivery, and installation supervision.
The picnic shelter portion of this RFP is for delivery of the structure only.
Installation of the required footing, base material and surfacing, and the structure
itself will be completed by the City of Chanhassen. Your picnic shelter proposal
must include the cost of the structure, tax, freight and delivery, and installation
guidance in the event it is required.
