A total of 59 dads and daughters participated in this year's Phone: 952.227.1180 event. It continues to be successful with many attendees returning each year. Fax: 952.227.1190 Dinner Engineering This year's event was catered by Chuckwagon Charlie's of Chanhassen. The Phone: 952.227.1160 menu included or ulled pork sandwiches, macaroni & cheese, coleslaw, carrot Fax 952.227.1170 p p ' sticks, and a treat for dessert. Staff received numerous positive compliments on Finance the food, and the price and service were outstanding. I would highly recommend Phone: 952.227.1140 using them again in the future. To save on costs, the city supplied the cupcakes Fax: 952.227.1110 for dessert and beverages. Park & Recreation Phone: 952.227.1120 Dance Fax: 952.227.1110 DJ Paul Young provided the music and entertainment for the dance. He did an excellent job keeping the participants engaged and dancing the whole night. Recreation Center Along with the dance, he also provided soft music during dinner. Annual Natural Resources favorites are the heart count and candy guess games. Participants remain very enthusiastic about these games! Public Works Staff also setup two craft tables where participants could make valentine - themed 7901 Park Place projects. This was very well received and should continue in the future. Senior Center Phone: 952.227.1125 New this year, staff organized door prize drawings for both the daughters and the Fax: 952.227.1110 dads! ABC & Toy Zone of Chanhassen donated a gift basket for the drawing and the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre provided a certificate to dinner & a show for two. The artist did a great job incorporating valentine - themed paintings for each of the girls. There seemed to be a constant line for this activity, so staff recommends using their services again next year. Photographer Flash Digital Portraits again partnered with the city to photograph the couples. The portraits were of high quality and very professional. The photos are placed online, which gives families the opportunity to view and purchase them if they desire. This is a great feature of the event and is provided free of charge, so I highly recommend inviting them back again next year. General Comments /Suggestions • Continue to offer a variety of beverages, including caffeine -free pop and bottled water throughout the event. • Coloring sheets and puzzles were placed on the dinner tables to provide another activity for participants. • At the crafting table, perhaps have a project that the daughters could bring home. • Many couples are returning for multiple years, thus staff will continue searching for new and innovative ideas to keep the event fresh. g: \park \dddn\2013\2013 evaluation.docx
