A key part of this phase of the study will focus on gaining insight from bicycle advocates, clubs and agency staff in the greater metro area. Community Design Group, an urban design firm in the Twin Cities, is assisting the Council by conducting four focus groups located in Plymouth, Chanhassen, White Bear Lake and Apple Valley. We would like to identify groups in the 7- county metro area who are not focused in Minneapolis or St Paul. If you would like to participate or know of a group who we should contact, please let us know. Meeting topics will include, but are not limited to: • Identifying bicycle corridors of regional significance • Identifying major bicycle trip origins and destination areas • Exploring the use of cycle track applications • Identifying missing corridors The information we gain from these focus groups is critical and will assist the Council in future bicycle infrastructure projects. The focus group are scheduled for: April 10th, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Plymouth April 1 lth, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Chanhassen April 17th, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in White Bear Lake April 18th, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Apple Valley Thank you for your assistance, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
