Drive and Name Unnamed Street Stub Miranda Way
PROPOSED MOTION
"The Chanhassen City Council approves an ordinance changing the public street
name of " Jeurissen Drive" to "Camden Ridge Drive" and the unnamed street stub shall
be named Miranda Way."
City Council approval requires a simple majority vote.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City Council is requested to approve the attached ordinance changing the street name
of Jeurissen Drive to Camden Ridge Drive and the unnamed street stub to Miranda Way.
BACKGROUND
The streets in question were dedicated as part of the Camden Ridge plat on September 9,
2013. However, another plat already contains a road named Jeurissen so public safety
requested that a new name be approved.

City staff has received a request from Lennar to change the street name of Jeurissen

The City Attorney has advised staff that a street name change requires adoption of an

ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING STREET NAMES
WITHIN THE PLAT OF CAMDEN RIDGE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANHASSEN, MINNESOTA ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The street named "Jeurissen Drive" from Henry Court to its cul- de-sac end is
changed to "Camden Ridge Drive".
SECTION 2. The unnamed street stub extending north from River Rock Drive South to the
Camden Ridge north property line shall be named Miranda Way.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
publication.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10 day of October, 2013, by the City Council of the City
of Chanhassen, Minnesota.
