VARIANCE 2013 -14
1. Permit. Subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein, the City of Chanhassen
hereby grants the following variance:
The Chanhassen Board of Appeals and Adjustments approves Planning
Case #2013 -14 for a variance to permit installation of sewage holding
tanks on property zoned Agricultural Estate District (A -2).
2. Pro a The variance is for property situated in the,Gity of Chanhassen, Carver
County, Minnesota, and legally described as follows:
See Attached Exhibit A
3. Condition. The variance approval is subject to the following conditions:
a. Variance allowing holding tanks to be time limited to three years.
b. Sewage holding tanks may not serve an inhabited structure.
c. Site served by holding tanks must be seasonal use only.
d. Sewage holding tank(s) to have capacity alarm.
e. Sewage holding tank(s) pumping contract required.
f. The new holding tanks must be 50 feet from the well on the property.
g. The tanks must 50 feet from the wetland on the north and west sides of the
property.
h. The tanks must be outside of the right -of -way.
i. The septic holding tank system must be installed per plumbers code.
4.' Lause. If within one (1) year of the issuance of this variance the allowed
construction has not been substantially completed, this variance shall lapse.

The East Half of the East Half of the South Half of the Southeast Quarter, and the Southeast Quarter of
the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, Section 23, Township 116, Range 23, Carver County,
Minnestta.
And also that part of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 24, Township 116, Range 23,
Carver County, Minnesota, lying southerly of the north 730.00 feet as measured along westerly line
thereof and lying Westerly of the centerline of State Highway No. 101, the centerline of which is
described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 24,
Township 116, Range 23, a distance of 632.52 feet East of the Northwest corner of said Southwest
Quarter; the bearing of the North line of the Southwest Quarter is assumed to be South 88 degrees 46
minutes 29 seconds East; thence South 4 degrees 24 minutes 47 seconds West a distance of 413.72 feet;
thence on a tangential curve, concave to the East having a central angle of II degrees 38 minutes 21
seconds and a radius of 1962.29 feet a distance of 398.62 feet; thence South 7 degrees 13 minutes 34
seconds East tangent to the fast described curve; a distance of 217.65 feet; thence on a tangential curve,
concave to the West having a central angle of 14 degrees 29 minutes 17 seconds and a radius of 1166.15
feet a distance of 294.88 feet, more or less, to a point on the south line of the North Half of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 24 and thence terminating said point distance 660.44 feet Easterly of the Southwest
comer of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter.
