The study identified the segment of TH 101 from Lyman Blvd to Pioneer Trail as the highest priority for improvement. The corridor currently has several safety concerns including steep grades, sharp curves, and inadequate sight distances. These have contributed to a 50% higher overall crash and severity rate. The proposed roadway improvements project will result in permanent impacts to four wetlands, totaling 1.84 acres. The applicant (City of Chanhassen) is planning to mitigate these impacts through the purchase of wetland banking credits. Both are required to be replaced at a 2:1 ratio.
