Senior Center Activities Update
Since the last activity report in late November, participation at the Chanhassen Senior Center has
remained the same. At this time I am busy preparing for the Annual Holiday Social &
Entertainment party on Saturday, December 7th. This year the party is being held at the
Chanhassen Recreation Center, due to space limitations. We currently have 85 seniors
registered, and are anticipating over 100 seniors. An invitation has been extended to the
Chanhassen City Council, the Chanhassen Villager as well as Don Chimel and Nancy Mancino.
This will be a wonderful event for the City to participate in, considering it is one of our larger
events of the year.
Besides working on the Holiday Social, I am also busy preparing for the spring and summer
months of 1997. The Senior Expo committee has also started their meeting season and ! am once
again participating on the Program Committee. I have enclosed my latest Chanhassen Senior
News and Chanhassen Senior Center activity calendar for the months of December and January
for your interest. I can hardly believe we are looking into 1997!! I am very excited and hopeful
for a great New Year!!
