Director's Report
Welcome to the New Year! I am excited to have another clean slate ahead of us. It is always
satisfying to make plans for the coming year during the months of January, February and March.
Thorough plans each winter equate to increased activity come spring. I continue to appreciate
the commission's guidance and inspiration in this process.
Lake Ann Ballfield Lighting: The majority of the electrical equipment and illuminares are
on site. The poles are expected to be delivered by mid-February. Both fields will be
completed before the softball season begins.
Goodbye Chanhassen Pond Park--Hello Kerber Pond Park! On January 13 the city
council renamed Chanhassen Pond Park to Kerber Pond Park. New sign components will be
made and installed this winter.
Park Task Force: The field survey being conducted by Decision Resources is underway.
Phone calling was completed on January 18. A final survey report will be presented to the
city council in early February.
Park and Trail Dedication Fees: On January 13 the city council acted to raise the park and
trail dedication fees. Residential park fees were raised $100 per dwelling. Residential trail
fees were raised $33 per dwelling. Commercial and industrial rates remain unchanged.
