1998/99 Skating Program
Looking ahead to Chanhassen's skating season, the wanning houses will be open
for 9 weeks from December 12 through February 13. Flooding of the rinks will
begin approximately the first or second week in December, depending on weather
and after frost is in the ground. The wanning houses will be open Monday
through Friday, 4-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 am-9 p.m.; and Sundays, 1-7 p.m. With
the City Center Park redevelopment project, the old wanning house was
demolished and will be replaced by a portable trailer. Portable trailers will also be
placed at North Lotus and at two temporary locations; Chanhassen Hills Park and
Roundhouse Park
Our department has scheduled the maintenance of the following pleasure and
hockey rinks for the 1998/99 season. If the Park and Recreation Commission
would like to add or delete any sites, we can discuss them at the September 22
meeting.
