Dedicating a field
Chanhassen Mayor Nancy Mancino presented a Community Service Award to Jerome Carlson,
CEO of The Instant Web Companies, for letting the city use his land for a youth soccer field. Carlson
and his daughter, Lucy, were on hand for the ceremony, along with soccer players and parents in
the Chanhassen Chaska Soccer Club, council members, a Chanhassen Athletic Association repre-
sentative, and city staff members.

Kellen Davis, a 10th grader at
Minnetonka High School (MHS),
values the additional one-on-one
academic coaching and believes it
will help him reach his goals. Davis

ing strategies. She has her master's
in English as a Second Language.

Skate for Fun Lessons
The Skate for Fun program has been designed
to teach boys and girls the basic fundamentals
of ice skating in a fun and enjoyable environ-
ment. Your child will learn how to balance,
start, stop, turn, and skate forwards and back-
wards while obtaining necessary safety skills of
skating. Our main focus is to build your child's
confidence in one of Minnesota's most popular
outdoor recreational activities.

version of the Skate for Fun classes, with the
emphasis being confidence building while on the
ice. Your child will get a feel for the ice through a
variety of games and activities. We will end
