CRC Monthly Report - August 1999
District #112 custodians are busy cleaning the Recreation Center. All
community rooms will be cleaned by Labor Day. The Gymnasium and
Aerobic Studio floors have been sanded and a fresh coat of polyurethane
applied. The gymnasium will reopen August 30th.
Many sections of the Dance for Fun program are full. More classes may be
added but studio time is tight. The spring recital will have a western/farm
theme.
We are still in need of a Facility Supervisor to work the closing shift on
weekday evenings at the Recreation Center. A three week ad in the Villager
yielded only four applicants.
Registration for fall programs has started and Recreation Center staff will
become increasingly busy with this task. Also, room reservations for the
school year have picked up, however, our reservation software is not Y2K
compliant and we are unable to schedule reservations into the next
millennium. Rick Rice is working with our software supplier to effect a
swift update!!
Community athletic groups met with Susan Marek on August 10 to assign
free use of the gymnasium for the coming school year. CAA and
Chan/Chaska Soccer were present at the meeting.
