Senior Center Report
The Senior Center has returned back to its regular schedule after taking a two
week break for the holidays. There are few activities scheduled for the month of
January due to the usual conditions of winter. Upcoming events include a 4 hour
defensive driving class. Science Museum trip and tax aide assistance. Listed
below are the averages for each daily activity for the month of December.
Approximately 675 visits were recorded for the month of December.

Men's Club- 10 men
Foot Care Clinic - 3 people w/a 4 max.
Woodcarving - 7 people
Card Club - 27 people
Stamping Club- 13 people
Women's Club - 18 women
CHAN-o~laires - 21 people
Book Club - 5 people
Bingo - 21 people
Bowling - 8 people
Trips - Upcoming trips include: Science Museum Trip 2/24/2000, Old Log
Theatre "Cash on Delivery," 3/08/2000 and Barbara Fairchild at the Mayer Fine
Arts Center 3/31/2000.
Special Programs - Carver County Social Services will be offering tax aide
assistance to seniors in Chanhassen in the months of February, March and April.
I have yet to receive the final dates from Carver County Social Services Volunteer
Coordinator, Teri Clay. Ridgeview Home Care will no longer be providing foot
care services for the Senior Center. A replacement is being considered. A
stamping instructor came to the Senior Center to demonstrate sweatshirt/t-shirt
stamping on 1/07/2000. Twelve people attended and enjoyed the class.
Miscellaneous ~ Alternate options are being considered for the painting project in
the Senior Center. We are lacking volunteers. One professional painter has
already submitted a bid. Other painters will be contacted.
