Presently 1 am organizing all of the winter trips and activities for the Senior Center newsletter. This newsletter is targeting to go out iii mid - November. On October 3rd the Eden Prairie Senior Center and the Chanhassen Senior Center traveled to the Turtle Lake Casino, 47 seniors attended. The Senior Center hosted a Saturday Night German meal at the Recreation Center on Saturday, October 14th with 45 seniors in attendance. The entertainment was provided by the Buzz Dauielson Fun Tyme Band. The Senior Center also sent a group of 30 seniors to Biloxi, Mississippi & New Orleans on Saturday, October 14th. Listed below are the averages for each daily activity for the month of September. Approximately 652 visits were recorded for the mouth of September. Daily Activities - Average Attendance Bridge - 40 people Men's Club- 6 men Woodcarving - 10 people Stamping Club - 12 people Golfing Club - 12 people Bowling- 7 people Women's Club - 17 women Book Club - 7 people Bingo - 24 people Card Club - 38 people Footcare Clinic - 4 people CHAN-o-laires - 22 people Trips - Upcoming trips include; Fanny Hill 11/15/00, New Ulln Lighting Tour I 1/27/00, Branson Tour 11/28 - 3/00, and the Nuncracker Christmas Musical at the Cbanhassen Dinner Theatre 12/06/00. Special Programs - The Senior Center will be hosting a Thanksgiving meal catered by Millie's Deli on 11/1100 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Flu vaccinations will be given out on Tuesday, November 21 from 9:00am - 1 l:30am. A 4 hour defensive driving class is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Miscellaneous - The Stamping classes have been changed from the first Friday of the month to the first Wednesday of the month from 9:30am - 1 l:30am. The Senior Commission and the Senior Advisory Board are forming a committee to organize a special Senior Awareness Month for next May.
