MEMORANDUM

2001 4th of July Celebration
The City of Chanhassen's 4th of July Celebration is rapidly approaching. All
activities will take place on Tuesday, July 3rd and Wednesday, July 4th. I am
enclosing a tentative schedule of events with this memo.
A total of ten food vendors have been confirmed for this year's celebration.
There will be returning vendors from last year as well as some new comers. Items
that will be served this year include: dip n dots, sweet corn, steak & chicken
fajitas, burdtos, tacos, nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, sno-cones, cheese curds,
sweet potato fries, beer battered fries, mozzarella sticks, soft drinks, beer and
more. I will be working with each individual vendor to determine power needs,
space requirements and all other physical arrangements.
This year's community parade will be held on Wednesday, July 4 beginning at
2:30 p.m. The parade route will be changed slightly from last year. The parade
will start at Chapel Hill and travel further north on Kerber Blvd. and then circle
back to Chan view (see attached map). Jerry has been working with the parade
committee to ensure that the parade is successful and that it coincides with the rest
of the activities we have planned for the day.
I am in the process of getting a logo designed for our promotional materials and
T-shirts. I'm also in the process of securing all other necessities to ensure the
celebration runs smoothly.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

affected roads. Roads near the line-up area will dose at 12:30 p.m. and the rest will dose at 1:30 p.m.
