It will, to the best of its' ability, be fair in team selec-.~ ~: .~ tions, ensure the quality of its coaching staff, and foster a .: balance between playing and winning. This program Is created to stress sportsman' ship, friendship, goodwill, strong values, and cooperation within its membership. It's that time again! We're anxiously planning for the 2001-2002 Hockey Season. Early registration Is Important to allow the association cash for securing outside tournament slots In July and allow us to get our equipment ordered In June. Please look over your registration packet enclosed and respond promptly. Returning Players... Here's the Plan! Registration packets are enc;psed. Packets include detailed information on the fee structure, fundraising,etc- If you any questions, contact your level commissioner' - ' in tee and registration forms Initial $200 plus fund rals g ned for registration due. A $25 late Tee will be char= received after this date. -- uR to a "C" for squirts and above (~~ Remaining will be due De Following tryouts "A" and "B" players will receive an invoice for remainder due. We are currently vorking with the City of Chaska and the City of Victoria to secure luality ice for the next 5-7 years. More details on this in next ~ewsletter. * District 6 Conference- On June 25th District 6 will be :onducting its annual conference, it is a great opportunity for mem- )ers of our Board to meet our counterparts in other associations md exchange ideas. Topics will include fundraising, player/coach ]evelopment, policies, ice, registration and treasury functions. * USA Hockey Decisions- USA hockey will be voting on two key ssues in July that will impact youth hockey for the 2002 season. ~ge definitions and checking at the Pea Wee level. 3rian Dahlke, CCI-IA Dist. 6 Rep will keep us posted on the results. * VP of Communication- Congratulations to Jacqi Fitzgibbons Nho was recently promoted to Ex. Director of the Chaska Chamber ~f Commerce. Due to her new job responsibilities, she is stepping ~own as VP of Communication. She will continue to stay involved ~vith toumaments and Toys for Tots. Thanks Jacqi for your hard Nork over the past two years. Good luck in your new position. CCHA has been approached by City of Chanhassen to have a float in 4th of July parade. Chaska will be having their 150th celebration at this years River City Days. Are we Interested in participating? VP of Competition - Rick commented on coach selection committee for 2001-02 season. He would also like some assistance on Sunday eves with In-line Pond Hockey at Chanhassen Rec. The City of Victoria has approached CCHA with ice needs at new arena for 2002-03 season. Secretary Report - May minutes were approved. Treasurer Report - No activity. VP of Business - Gold Cards will cost $20 this season. Concession Stand fee will be $45.00 this season. Dist 6 - Next meeting will be 25June. VP of Competition - Tryout schedule is being fine tuned. Deb Ekio will check on school calendar conflicts and MN Wild schedule and CCHA football dates. President Report - Jacqi has resigned from VP of Communication.
