MEMORANDUM
TO:
Jerry Ruegemer, Recreation Superintendent
FROM:
Corey Hoen, Recreation Supervisor(_.}/'~'
DATE: April 20, 2004
SUB J:
2004 4th O1~ July Celebration
The City of Chanhassen's 4th of July Celebration is rapidly approaching.
activities will take place on Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 4th. I am
enclosing a tentative schedule of events with this memo.
All
A total of eight food vendors have been confirmed so far for this year's
celebration. There will be returning vendors from last year as well as some new
comers. Items that will be served this year include: dip n dots, burritos, tacos,
nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, sno-cones, cheese curds, beer battered fries,
mozzarella sticks, soft drinks, beer and more. I will be working with each
individual vendor to determine power needs, space requirements and all other
physical arrangements.
This year's community parade will be held on Sunday, July 4 beginning at 2:30
p.m. The parade route will be identical to last year. The parade will start at
Chapel Hill and travel north on Kerber Blvd. and then circle back to Chan View.
We will be working with the parade committee to ensure that the parade is
successful and that it coincides with the rest of the activities we have planned for
the day.
I will be in the process of selecting a logo for our promotional materials and T-
shirts. As well as securing all other necessities to ensure the celebration runs
smoothly.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
