Lori,
Take a look at this. It's for the CVS site. Instead of doing away wIthe retaining wall and extending the slope grading at a 3:1 out
into our property, they are showing us what will be required with the retaining wall construction. Because of the poor soils, they
will have to go down quite a ways with their footings. This will require excavation onto our property as part of their trench. They
are showing a profile view of the proposed excavation on the attachment. Let me know your concerns. It doesn't look like we can
avoid this since they are so close to our property line.

Based on a conference call with BCC and GLR yesterday, we would like to look at soil correction as an alternative to
Geopiers below the retaining wall. In order to evaluate this alternative, BCC has requested that we provide an estimated
correction volume. Please use the attached guidelines to estimate the volume of soil to be removed and replaced. Please

Matt, I will be in town Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. I saw your response to Mark Jaster regarding the
city's preference that we not grade on the city's land, east of our proposed retaining wall. Can I meet with you or
whomever I can to discuss this further? We are in a real bind. We discovered bad soils under the proposed retaining wall
location and our ability to place fill immediately adjacent to the wall, on the city's land would be a big help in achieving a
solution. Please let me know.
