2005 Annual Goals:
The main points discussed included encouraging increased recycling and putting together
promotional/educational recycling materials (Burnsville is a good example). The goals stated in the work plan will
be revised to read without the “To...” in front of each sentence. A motion was made to approve the changes and
passed unanimously.
Energy Rebate Program:
The commission wasn’t sure what would be the best program to promote. They
suggested inviting Excel and MVE to a meeting so that they could inform the commission of the current programs
that they have and any possible opportunities for a partnership. The city could help disseminate information during
city events like Arbor Day, of July, Chanhassen Day, etc.
