2005 Dave Huffman Memorial 5K Race
We are currently planning the 2005 Dave Huffman Memoria15K Race to be held on
Saturday, September 10,2005. With the new construction of the Water Treatment
Facility, we will have to make a change in the course. The race committee reviewed
six alternative routes and selected the start and finish to be at the City Center Park.
This selection will be helpful for traffic control and eliminate the cost of busing with
Southwest Metro. The race committee is excited to keep the race in our downtown
area as it will showcase our businesses and the City Center Park. Recertification of
the course is necessary and our race director, Rice Recker, can do this at anytime.
To minimize the inconvenience to the neighbors along the route, we will not be
closing any roads and they will be contacted prior to the race date. A copy of the
race route is attached.
