VINTAGE HAT scow
Remember the days when no woman was well dressed without a hat? Step back
in time as you enjoy our classic hat collection. We will start out in the late 1800s
with a braided "horsehair" hat and move through the early 1900s with the "boaters"
and large "picture" straw hats. Who would have guessed that hat pins would grow
to illegal lengths? From there, we will go to the '20s where the automobile made
a huge impact on the style of hats. Moving on through the '30s where veils and
extreme wearing angles were popular. The AS saw a variety of styles where
adornments were wom in excess. Finally on to the '50s ffascinating tidbits about
hats and their history. We will enjoy a delicious tea luncheon after the show.
Special thanks to Purple Box Jewelry for their financial support of this event!
