MEMORANDUM
TO: Todd Hoffman, Park & Recreation Director
FROM: Jerry Ruegemer, Recreation Superintendent
DATE: November 25, 2014
SUBJ: Community Sport Associations
The Park and Recreation Commission discussed the importance of inviting
Chanhassen's Youth Associations to a meeting to receive input on how things are
going. The Commission thought it would be important to host the soccer and
baseball associations separately to focus on individual association needs. The soccer
associations will be present at the November 25 meeting and the gaseball associations
will attend the January 27 meeting. The November 25 meeting will include CC
United and Tonka United Soccer Clubs and representatives from both associations
will be present. There will be a roundtable -type discussion that will encourage free
dialog between the commission and soccer representatives. The talking points below
will be used to obtain and exchange information.
Are your current needs being met?
2. What are the future needs of your association?
3. What are the growth projections for the next 5 years?
4. Is the field allocation process working?
5. Desired field improvements?
6. Is athletic lighting needed?
ATTACHMENTS
