On behalf of Minnetonka Schools, please find attached the Interim Use Permit (IUP)
and waterproofing
Application, check for $870, and the supporting required plans and documents for the
proposed construction of a new parking lot at Minnetonka Middle School West. This
project is in the location of the existing north detention pond to provide much needed
additional parking, construction of a new underground storm chamber system to
effectively manage the stormwater runoff from this drainage area, widening of the
west main entrance/exit drive for improved traffic flow, and construction of new
paths between the tennis courts to provide better access. The following are the
amounts for the hard -surface changes:
Proposed Parking Lot 0.61 acres
Drive Widen 0.14 acres
New Paths 0.20 acres
In submitting this application for the School, I acknowledge the following for the
proposed project:
a. Will not be detrimental to or endanger the public health, safety, comfort,
convenience or general welfare of the neighborhood or the city.
b. Will be consistent with the objectives of the city's comprehensive plan and this
chapter.
c. Will be designed, constructed, operated and maintained so to be compatible in
appearance with the existing or intended character of the general vicinity and will
not change the essential character of that area.
d. Will not be hazardous or disturbing to existing or planned neighboring uses.
