EDA 2016 01 11 CHANHASSEN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY SPECIAL MEETING JANUARY 11, 2016 Mayor Laufenburger called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Laufenburger, Councilman McDonald, Councilwoman Tjornhom, Councilwoman Ryan, and Councilman Campion STAFF PRESENT: Todd Gerhardt, Chelsea Petersen, Kate Aanenson, Todd Hoffman, Greg Sticha, and Roger Knutson Mayor Laufenburger: I would first ask if there’s any changes to the agenda for the EDA meeting tonight. And if none then we’ll proceed as published. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Councilwoman Tjornhom moved, Councilman McDonald seconded to approve the Minutes of the Economic Development Authority meeting dated November 10, 2014 as presented. All voted in favor and the motion carried unanimously with a vote of 5 to 0. RELEASE OF PRIVATE REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH CSM ON LOTS 1 & 2, BLOCK 1, CHANHASSEN EAST BUSINESS CENTER AND LOT 1, BLOCK 1, CHANHASSEN EAST BUSINESS CENTER SECOND ADDITION. Todd Gerhardt: Mayor, City Council members, this is a release to a private redevelopment agreement that the EDA entered into with CSM on Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Chanhassen East Business Center and the private redevelopment agreement has been fulfilled on CSM’s standpoint and the district was decertified back in 2001 and so staff is recommending the release of the private redevelopment agreement. Mayor Laufenburger: Alright, thank you. Any questions for staff on this? Alright, may I have a motion. If there is none may I have a motion to approve the release of the contract for private redevelopment agreement. Councilwoman Tjornhom: So moved. Mayor Laufenburger: Thank you Councilwoman Tjornhom. Is there a second? Councilman McDonald: Second. Mayor Laufenburger: Thank you Mr. McDonald. Chanhassen Economic Development Authority – January 11, 2016 Councilwoman Tjornhom moved, Councilman McDonald seconded that the Chanhassen EDA approve the attached Release of the Contract for Private Redevelopment Agreement. All voted in favor and the motion carried unanimously with a vote of 5 to 0. Mayor Laufenburger: That concludes the agenda items for the EDA for today, January 11, 2016. May I have a motion to adjourn. Councilwoman Tjornhom moved, Councilwoman Ryan seconded to adjourn the meeting. All voted in favor and the motion carried unanimously with a vote of 5 to 0.
