Dear Mr. Kirt,
This letter is to notify you that on February 12, 2018, the Chanhassen City Council made a determination
that under current city ordinance a wetland buffer and setback variance is not required for the construction
of a single-family home at 7052 Minnewashta Parkway (PID 25.0080600). Therefore, no wetland
variance is necessary to proceed with the building permit process for your house at the above address.
You still need to apply for a building permit and receive approval prior to construction on the property.
All other building regulations, zoning, building and fire code requirements must be met. Please contact
Jessica Archer, Building Official, at (952) 227-1199 or jarcherkci.chanhassen.mn.us for building permit

You need to comply with the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District, MCWD, requirements prior to the
city issuing a building pemrit. I was copied on Kathrine Sylvia's, Minnehaha Creek Watershed District,
email dated February 5, 2018 to you with permit application forms and applicable MCWD rules. She can
be contacted at ksylvia(abminnehahacreek.or¢ or (952) 473-2855. As she stated, you need to include a 25 -
foot wetland buffer on your survey, which will then need to be recorded against the property. You also
want to make sure that your home is outside of the 100 -yr flood elevation of Lake St. Joe. Please make
sure that the 100 -yr flood elevation is noted on your survey and that the low -opening of your proposed
structure is 2 -feet or higher in elevation above the 100 -yr flood elevation.
