Dear Mayor Laufenburger:
The Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) staff, Sam Claeson, visited the city of
Chanhassen on January 301h, 2018 for the purpose of monitoring your Contamination Cleanup grant. He met
with Todd Gerhardt and Chelsea Petersen, and the grant management and financial management of the
program were examined. An on-site visit was also conducted. Our primary purpose is to help the city of
Chanhassen meet the objectives set forth in this program, and to ensure compliance withall applicable
regulations so that you derive fidt benefit from the Contamination Cleanup grant.
I am pleased to inform you that we do not have any negative findings to report as a result of our audit. On the
basis of our review of the project's documentation, we have changed the status of the Contamination Cleanup
grant from "Closed Pending Monitoring" to "Closed Pending Final Report." I have enclosed a copy of the
Grant Adjustment Notice implementing this change.
