1. Permlt. Subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein, the City of Chanhassen hereby
grants the following vmiance:
The Chanhassen City Council approves the placement ofthe pump line within the 50-foot
bluff setback area and 2O-foot bluffimpact zone, a 30-foot bluff setback variance for the
tanks and a 20-foot bluff and 9-foot property line setback variance for the mounds and
dispersal area.
2. BgSfly. The variance is for a property situated in the City of Chanhassen, Carver County,
Minnesota, and legaily described as: The west 152.3 feet ofthe east 355.85 feet-ofthe north
286.0 feet ofthe souttr 572 feet ofthe Southeast Quarter of ttre Southeast Quarter (SE % ofSE
%) of Section 26, Township I16, Range 23, Carver County, Minnesota.
3. @1!!@ The vmiance approval is subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant must apply for and receive all necessary permits from the relevant
agencies.
2. The applicant shall work with city, county, and watershed staffto maximize the
system's distance fiom the bluff, minimize its impact on the bluff, and avoid
impacting the existing drainage swale.
3. The applicant shall minimize hee loss, and shall to the greatest extent possible avoid
removing mature trees within 20 feet of the top of the bluff.
4. A new 1" = 20' scale survey showing the final location of the septic and pump tanks,
pump line, mound, and drain field shall be provided as part ofthe permitting process.
5. The area around the septic system mounds shall be landscaped so as to minimize its
visual impact.
4. Lapse. If within one (1) year of the issuance of this variance the allowed construction has not
been substantially completed, this variance shall lapse.
