Structures within Drainage and Utility Easements located at 6893

Mr. Gerhardt and Mr. Young-Walters:
I represent Joan and Larry Synstelien. On July 17, 2020 the Synsteliens
appealed the City's 02/ 12/2020 Denial of an Encroachment Agreement for
Retaining Walls and Variances from the City's Prohibition on Locating
Structures within Drainage and Utility Easements located at 6893 Highover
Drive.
On August 18, 2020 the Planning Commission held a public hearing thereon
and, at the conclusion thereof, did vote to deny the Synstelien appeal.
Please be advised that Joan Synstelien and Larry Synstelien do hereby appeal
the decision of the Chanhassen Planning Commission, taken August 18, 2020,
denying their appeal of the city denial of an Encroachment agreement and
variances from the City's Prohibition on Locating Structures within Drainage
and Utility Easements located at 6893 Highover Drive. This appeal is made
pursuant to city code and the public announcement, at the hearing, advising
the right of appeal the decision to the city council. Please immediately advise
any errors or omissions.
