Minnesota Statute Section 1599, a copy of which is attached, requires the City of Chanhassen CCity")
to approve or decry a zoning related application within 60 days of receiving a completed application. The
City may extend the timeline by an additional 60 days by providing the applicant with written notice before
the end of the original 60-day period.
The City received your application for a variance on September 17, 2021. On October 19, 2021 you
contacted the City and requested that your variance be removed from the October 19, 2021 public hearing.
Staff informed you that this request would prevent the variance from being resolved within the required 60
day review period which will end on November 16, 2021. Since the City is not requesting an additional 60
day review period, extension beyond the initial 60 day review period must be approved by the applicant. You
have requested an extension beyond November 16, 2021 to allow for you to review and potentially revise
your variance request with your design team.
The deadline for City action is hereby agreed to be extended to March 31, 2022
