1985 03 27 PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES MARCH 27, 1985 e MEMBERS PRESENT Bill Ryan, Howard Noziska, Ladd Conrad, Jim Thompson and Tom Merz. PUBLIC PRESENT Carol Watson and Dale Geving STAFF PRESENT Barbara Dacy, City Planner and Jo Ann Olsen, Asst. City Planner. REVIEW DRAFT OF NEW ZONING ORDINANCE A. The Planning Commission agreed to change the A-I District on the map to A-2 which would allow 10 acre subdivisions and grandfather in existing 5 acre subdivisions. There would still be an A-2 Agricultural preservation District for 40 acre farms, but only put on map when designated as such. * Staff will research tax benefits with 40 acre minimum. , B. Staff explained that Board of Adjustments and Appeals will now be the City Council. Dale Geving felt City Council might want to keep it separate. It was agreed that there was not a need for a 6 month period between applications. C. The Planning commission agreed that B-1 District should per- mit standard restaurants with liquor. D. The Planning Commission agreed to keep the B-5 District. * Staff will look into Neighborhood District intent (B-1) * Staff will look into calculating PUD net vs. gross densities. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Conrad moved, seconded by Ryan to approve the March 13, 1985 minutes as written. Merz, Conrad, Ryan, and Noziska voted in favor. J. Thompson abstained. The motion carried. Conrad moved, seconded by Ryan to adjourn the meeting at 10:30 p.m. All voted in favor and the motion carried. e
