Your departure as the "Rec Center Lady" has left an undeniable void in our operations. As I continue to search for a new manager, I often think of how fortunate the City was to have you on staff. You were the bundle of energy that kept the Recreation Center on course. I want to make sure you are aware of how much I appreciated your commitment to that task! Susan, you were not just a leader for the Recreation Center, your contributions helped guide our entire operation on a daily basis. Thanks for initiating new programs, for taking risks on behalf of the department, for successfully introducing on-line registration, for coordinating the majority of our revenue generating programs, and for keeping the doors open at the center on a daily basis. Your skills, energy, intelligence and commitment cannot be replicated and we are at a loss without you. Thanks for being such a great employee and a wonderful colleague. Good luck in your new position with the City of Chaska! You are truly missed. Damage to Lawn's 08/30/2005 Complainant: Address: Phone: 55317 Suspect: Address: Phone: Unknown SYNOPSIS: . The following narrative pertains to some damage done to some grass by a vehicle. The damage was done within a city park as well as to a private lawn. DETAILS: 1. On 08/30/2005 at 1042 hours, I had been dispatched to 829 Lake Susan Hills Dr in Chanhassen concerning some damage done to a lawn by a vehicle. 2. I arrived on location at 1050 hours, and met with reporting party, Mary Self. I learned that someone had driven a vehicle across her front lawn some time over night. I could see that the tracks came from the city park behind her residence named, Prairie Knoll Park. 3. I learned from Mrs. Self that this was the second incident within the park this week. She said that this weekend someone had spun circles within the park. They then came back last night to spin more circles, then they left the park by driving out between the houses to exit onto Lake Susan Hills Dr. 4. In conclusion, I could see the damage to the grass within the park, as well as the damage to Mrs. SeWs lawn. I also learned that there were no suspects that Mrs. Self could think of. Ii Park J July 15,2005 Dear City of Chanhassen, I took one of your signs from the skate park so I am writing this letter to say I am sorry. I am sorry for making it necessary to make another sign. I was ~~res~ctful to the city to take the si~. It was there for a_r~on ~d I W~_ wrong_ ~move it. I am also sorry for the time the pOlice had to- geTlflvo1vea WneIi flfey could have been going better things with their time. My actions were illegal because I took the sign that had been put there because of the vandalism that had been taking happening. Because I took the sign people might not know it is closed and go in the skate park and get in trouble. My parents were upset with me and surprised that I would do anything like that. I have to pay $80.00 to replace the sign and will also attend a 4 hour class called PERT, Program for the Encouragement of Responsible Thinking, with a parent. My mom was not too excited about class because the class was early on a Saturday morning. I paid a total of $205.00 in fines, (50.00 for class, 80.00 to city and 75.00 to court services. I will think of the consequences before taking anything that doesn't belong to me. It is important for obey all laws so that it will not ruin my chances at getting into a good college or possibly the reason I didn't get ajob I applied for. Sincerely,
