PRC 1981 09 01 .1"" Minutes Park and Recreation Commission September 1, 1981 A regular meeting of the Chanhassen Park and Recreation Commission was called to order on September 1, 1981 at 7:35 p.m. The following members were present: Phyllis Pope, Michael Lynch, Mary Muelhausen, Tom Schoenecker, Jack Mauritz, and Joe Warneke. The following members were absent: Chuck Koivisto. MINUTES: A motion was made by Jack Mauritz and seconded by Mary Muelhausen to approve the minutes of the last meeting as read. Motion unanimously approved. SUBDIVISION REQUEST: Murray Hill Addition - a subdivision of 6 lots. A motion was made by Jack Mauritz that this property pay in dollars instead of land for the park fee. The motion was seconded by Tom Schoenecker. Motion unanimously approved. REVISE 5 YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN: The Commission was asked to go to their respective neighborhoods to find out any park improvements they would like to see done within the next year or two. If it regarding the request for information the Commission members name, address, If it is too late for the newsletter, information on projects maybe LAWCON UPDATE: The Commission was updated on the status of Lawcon Grants: Lake Lucy has been approved to acquire land for a boat access. The seller of the originally proposed site has refused to sell the land. Lawcon agreed that they could transfer to another site if it is done by October 3. The Park and Recreation Commission will receive a check in September from the State and one in October from the Federal government for land around Lake Ann up to Greenwood Shores. RESIGNATION: A resolution of thanks and gratitude was made to Phyllis Pope by the Commission members after she tendered her resignation as Chairwoman of the Park and Recreation Commission. A motion was made by Tom Schoenecker and seconded by Jack Mauritz that the resignation be accepted. Motion unanimously approved. JiII"""'o. Election of New Vice-Chairman: Mary Muelhausen was nominated for Vice-Chairman by Tom Schoenecker. Mary refused the nomination. Mary Muelhausen seconded the nomination. Staff was directed to add Naming of Parks on the agenda for the next Park and Recreation meeting. A motion was made by Michael Lynch and seconded by Jack Mauritz that the meeting be adjourned. Motion unanimously approved. Meeting adjourned at 8:40.
