PRC 1980 12 02 Minutes Park and Recreation Commission December 2, 1980 'i"" A regular meeting of the Chanhassen Park and Recreation Commission was called to order on December 2, 1980 at 7:35 p.m. The following members were present: Phyllis Pope, Tom Schoenecker, Mary Muehlhausen, Chuck Koivisto, Ellis Thomas, Mike Lynch and Walter Coudron. MINUTES: A motion was made by Chuck Koivisto and seconded by Tom Schoenecker to approve the minutes of the last meeting with the following amendments: 1. Walter Coudron was absent and Chuck Koivisto was present. 2. The Commission would delay installing a sign and naming Western Hills Park until a later date. 3. Staff received three responses to an ad in the paper seeking a secretary for the Commission. Motion unanimously approved. RECREATION ELEMENT, CITY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: Mark Koegler reviewed this element with the Commission and instructed members to carefully review the element and make any changes or additions so they could make a recommendation at their January meeting. ,... RESIGNATION: Commissioner Ellis Thomas announced that he would not seek reappointment at the end of his term on December 31, 1980. The Commission took no action until his letter of resignation is received. SERVICE AWARDS: The Commission discussed service awards and directed staff to contact John Daniels and see what is available. Ellis Thomas made a motion to adjourn. motion.
