PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING AUGUST 6, 1968
The following members were present: Paul Flucke, Harvey Will,
.~ .Berk Rodgers, Sally deLancey, Ed Seim, and Merv Eisel. Rich
Lyman part time. Mr. Donald Brauer of Brauer Associates was
present.
Chairman Flucke presented a brief outline of ' our present plans
to Mr. Brauer and requested an outline and time schedule of
his professional services.
A motion was made by Berk Rodgers and seconded by Harvey Will
that the Park and Recreation Commission recommend to the Council
that the Village engage Mr. Brauer as Planner and request him
to present a proposal at the earliest convenience. Motion
carried.
Mr. Brauer will present his proposal at the Village Council
meeting on August 19th at 8:30 P.M.
Mr. Merv Eisel was accepted to the Park and Recreation Commission.
SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM:
Sally deLancey discussed some of the problems with the summer
recreation program. Harvey Will is to get a list of children
enrolled in the summer recreation program.

Sally deLancey moved and Berk Rodgers seconded that we request
Hansen and Klingelhutz to allow the Park and Recreation Commission
to flood their park area in Western Hills for a skating area. This
is to be presented in the form of a written statement. Motion
carried.
A motion was made by Sally deLancey and seconded by Harvey Will
that the Park and Recreation Commission send one member to
Congress for Recreation and Parks in Seattle, Washington, on
October 13 to 16, 1968, on expense paid basis. Motion discussed.
Motion carried.
