CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT #05-41
1. Permit. Subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein, the City of Chanhassen
hereby grants a conditional use permit for the following use:
Enterprise Leasing Company, to rent automobiles on property zoned Highway and
Business District (BH).
2. Property. The permit is for the following described property ("subject property") in
the City of Chanhassen, Carver County, Minnesota:
Lot 3, Block 1, Gateway East
3. Conditions. The permit is issued subject to the following conditions:
1. No unlicensed and inoperative vehicles shall be stored on the premises.
2. All maintenance of vehicles shall occur within an enclosed building.
3. No outside storage or display is allowed, except vehicles for rent.
4. No outdoor speaker system or outdoor telephones shall be allowed without
approval from the city council.
5. Parking setbacks shall be applicable for parking/storage areas.
6. Required customer and employee parking spaces shall not be used for rental
vehicle storage.
7. Vehicle sales are not permitted.
8. The number of rental vehicles shall not exceed 15.
9. Only automobiles owned by the rental agency shall be stored on the property.

10. Parking spaces allocated for rental vehicle storage shall be designated. One
and two-tenths parking space shall be provided per rental vehicle.
11. No signs shall be attached to vehicles.
12. Three additional parking spaces shall be allocated for the use of employees
and customers.
4. Termination of Permit. The City may revoke the permit following a public
hearing for violation of the terms of this permit.
5. Lapse. If within one year of the issuance of this permit the authorized construction
has not been substantially completed or the use commenced, this permit shall lapse, unless an
extension is granted in accordance with the Chanhassen Zoning Ordinance.
6. Criminal Penalty. Violation of the terms of this conditional use permit is a
criminal misdemeanor.
