Communities in the metropolitan area must notify adjacent local government units and school
districts of proposed comprehensive plan amendments before they take action on the
proposals. The purpose of the notification is to allow adjacent local government units and
school districts time to request copies of proposed amendments so that they can offer their
comments prior to fina1.action by the community. The Metropolitan Council's Local .
Planning Handbook advises that such notifications must occur 60ua)'s before the plan
amendment is sent to the Council for its review.
We have received a request to amend our Comprehensive Plan as follows:
