Summary of Project:
Mr. Erhart is proposing the construction of a roadway to provide continued access for tree farming
purposes, and for future commercial or office space development. With the construction of Powers
Boulevard, access to the property and the commercial tree farm operations has been eliminated (Please see
the Project Background and History section of the attached Wetland Permits Application).
The proposed project entails 15,775 square feet (0.36 acre) of wetland fill and 9,606 square feet (0.22 acre)
of wetland excavation for access to the property from Powers Boulevard, and for stormwater treatment
facilities. The project complies with the wetland replacement requirements of the Minnesota Wetland
Conservation Act (WCA) and Section 404 of the Federal Clean Water Act. Wetland impacts will be
replaced using a combination of New Wetland Credit from an on site wetland creation area and Public
Value Credit (PVC) from on site stormwater ponding and upland buffer. Overall, the project design
provides 74,025 square feet (1.70 acres) of wetland replacement, including 36,104 square feet (0.83 acre)
ofNWC from on site created wetland, 17,903 square feet (0.41 acre) of stormwater ponding PVC, and
20,018 square feet (0.46 acre) of upland buffer PVc.
You are hereby notified that the above-referenced application was made to the Local Government Unit on
the date stated above. A copy of the application is attached. Comments will be accepted on this
