Environmental Assessment Distribution
Re: Chanhassen High School
Environmental Assessment Worksheet
The City of Chanhassen is transmitting the enclosed Environmental Assessment
Worksheet (EA W) for the proposed development of a high school campus within
the City of Chanhassen. A 94.8 acres site, that is generally bounded on the south
and west by County Road 18 (Lyman Boulevard), on the north by the Twin Cities
and Western Railroad, and on the east by Bluff Creek in Chanhassen, Minnesota,
is proposed for development of a 405,000 square foot high school and campus to
be open by the fall of 2009. The EA W describes the plan for the high school
campus. The agency review deadline is December 6, 2006.
The public will be given an opportunity to comment on the EA W for the proposed
project at a public meeting to be held November 21,2006 at Chanhassen City
Hall. Public comments on the proposed project will be accepted by the City
through December 11, 2006. Comments should be submitted to Robert Generous,
AICP, City of Chanhassen, P. O. Box 147, Chanhassen, MN 55317-0147,
telephone (952) 227-1131, fax (952) 227-1110, or via e-mail at
