1975-01-08 minutes Bicentennial Commission January 8, 1976 Chanhassen City Hall The regular meeting of the Chanhassen Bicentennial Commission was called to order by Chairman Walt Hobbs at 7 : 55 p.m. with the following members present : Martin Jones , Mariana Shulstad, and Rich Lyman. Absent were : Fr. Armand Lubanski , Myrna Kurvers , and Lyle Ricklefs . Also present were : Pat Boyle , Phil Aldiitt, Dick Dutcher, and Bill Engebretsen. Dick Dutcher reported on the status of the benefit. 1 . To date 351 tickets have been sold. 2 . Net income for the project is approximately $1 , 800. 3. The collection of accounts receivable for tickets sold was discussed. TREE PLANTING: Rich Lyman reported that he is seeking to add a cheaper tree to our list of five offerings and that the first week in February is the goal for mailing out tree brochures . The Commission set an informal goal of selling 200 trees. BICENTENNIAL DECALS : Walt Hobbs discussed progress in selling decals . Outstanding supplies will be recalled for sale at the benefit and later in the year. The next meeting of the Commission will be January 22, 1976 . A motion was made by Martin Jones and seconded by Mariana Shulstad to adjourn. Motion carried. Rich Lyman Acting Secretary
